The sepulcre aedicule of Arturo Toscanini's family was built after a design by the engineer L. Guarnaschelli, to host the miserable relics of Giorgio, the baby son of the musician, who had died in Buenos Aires in 1906. It is entirely covered with  Carrara marble, upon which Bistolfi has represented, with a sculptoreal technique closer to carving rather than relief, symbolic episodes of the short life that is commemorated by the grave. The monument is peculiar  in the form and in the compositive solution, up to date with the highest European culture of the secessionist area. This monument, that has undergone some damages during the Second World War, is among Bistolfi's masterpieces.
